Hull Diving // Bottom Clean

We rigorously train our divers to perform the highest possible cleaning level, a balanced blend of hard work and efficiency towards bottom paint preservation.

Hull Evaluation

The process starts with a detailed evaluation of each specific hull characteristic and all metal parts involved  in order to select the right cleaning materials.

Hull Cleaning Practice

We clean from six inches above the waterline to the very bottom of the boat including; the hull, keel, rudders, stabilizers, thrusters, thru-hulls, intakes, depth sounder transducers, speedo wheels, struts, shafts, propellers, trim tabs, outdrives, swim step brackets, depending on each specific design.

Inspection Reports // Photos

After each cleaning the diver completes a Cleaning Inspection Report informing about the bottom paint coverage, antifouling effectiveness, areas lacking in coverage, causes of paint loss (If not painted we will report fiberglass condition), and suggested time of replacement, damage or abnormalities, (if applicable). Before and after photos are also taken any time work is performed.

Processing Inspection Reports

After a hard day of work, our divers return to the office and hand in the paper work with the written information of the completed cleanings. We input the information into our digital database system to help keep a clients history for future reference. In addition, we email a copy of these reports to our clients for their own records. Note: Cleaning quality level and written inspection reports are enforced by our Quality Control Program.

Zincs / Anodes

Anodes // Electrolysis

Stray current, dissimilar metals, salt water or galvanic corrosion... it can get very technical and complicated. The solution is very simple: anode monitoring and replacement when needed. Remember, our divers are your eyes underwater. We can provide you with anodes, or you can provide you own.

Galvanic Corrosion

Two different connected metals immersed in sea water, or electrolyte, develop voltage and current. The metal that is most active electrically (more positive) will deteriorate while protecting the metal that is less positive.

Electrolysis

Voltage and current flow is created by an outside electrical source rather than spontaneously in nature. Generally, it has much more erosive force than galvanic  action, and can deteriorate our valuable boat metal in a very short period of time.

Mechanical Corrosion

Turbulent water, high velocity water (especially at bends in cooler tubing), and silt laden water will all cause erosion of metals. Uneven velocity inside a tube or across metal surfaces of boats in tidal water will also cause erosion.

Topside // Extras

There are many factors that play a role in the wear and tear of your boat. Everyday elements like UV rays, air pollutants and salt water cause deterioration and damage to boats.

Boat detailing is an essential part to keeping your investment looking beautiful and in the best shape. The benefits of regularly getting your boat detailed include minor issues being spotted before they become a large and expensive issue. Diagnosis of oil, fuel and water leaks, can prevent mildew and increase the resale value of your vessel.

We offer many detailing packages or we can customize one to your preference. We also offer spot compound, wax, minor mechanical, minor plumbing, and teak work.
